Nissan to sell multiple affordable self-driving cars by 2020
Nissan to sell multiple affordable self-driving cars by 2020 Google's not the only one trying to build self-driving cars, despite the fact that it gets a ton of attention for all those autonomous autos roaming Bay Area streets. Many manufacturers are interested in taking human error out of the driving equation Nissan to sell multiple affordable self-driving cars by 2020, and now Nissan aims to do so by 2020. That's right, folks, Nissan Executive VP Andy Palmer stated today that the plan is to sell multiple affordable models of fully autonomous cars by 2020. And, to meet that goal, the company is constructing a facility to test self-driving systems that'll be up and running in 2014. Nissan's development timetable falls right in line with some of its competitors, but talk is cheap -- time will tell if Nissan can deliver on both its autonomous and affordability promises Nissan to sell multiple affordable self-driving cars by 2020.

Nokia Windows RT tablet may resemble a Lumia, carry an iPad-like price

Nokia Windows RT tablet may resemble a Lumia
Nokia Windows RT tablet may resemble a Lumia Nokia's rumored Windows RT tablet is supposedly nearing launch, and The Verge claims to have more details of the slate beyond those tidbits that surfaced at Digi-Wo last month. Nicknamed Sirius, the finished design is believed to resemble a Lumia phone and weigh significantly less than the current iPad. Despite packing a Snapdragon 800, an outdoor-ready 1080p screen and LTE Nokia Windows RT tablet may resemble a Lumia, the tablet would last a healthy 10 hours on battery. It would also include both 6-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, and Nokia may complement the previously mentioned 32GB of storage with a microSD card slot. Pricing would be competitive with the iPad, according to tipsters. While there's no way to verify the new rumors, the Sirius may launch at a September 26th event; if it's real, we'll find out soon enough Nokia Windows RT tablet may resemble a Lumia.

Sony's rumored ILC-3000 E-mount camera flaunts Alpha-like form factor in leak
Sony's rumored ILC-3000 E-mount camera flaunts Alpha-like form factor in leak Rumors of Sony's ILC-3000 or A-3000 E-mount camera have been floating in the wind for a while, but so far nothing of substance has touched down. Now, a contributor at Dyxum.com has spotted Sony advocate Gustav Kiburg with a model that seems to fit the bill. Though it looks more like an Alpha DSLR than a NEX, the E-mount camera is purported to have no mirror and a 20-megapixel APS-C sensor that maxes out at 16,000 ISO (not to mention, captures 1080p video). Amazingly, it also apparently sports a reasonable, £300 ($450 or so) price tag. We'll soon find out whether any of that is true if yet another rumor proves accurate -- it's supposedly set to arrive early tomorrow morning in Europe Sony's rumored ILC-3000 E-mount camera flaunts Alpha-like form factor in leak.

Blue Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 revealed in leaked press render

Galaxy Tab 3 gets rebranded as 'Homeboy' for launch on LG's Korean mobile network

Galaxy Tab 3 gets rebranded as 'Homeboy' for launch on LG's Korean mobile network
Galaxy Tab 3 gets rebranded as 'Homeboy' for launch on LG's Korean mobile network Considering that Korea's warring giants don't get along too well, it's amusing to see LG offering a Samsung-made tablet on LG U+, the latter's domestic cellular network. The "Homeboy" is a re-branded Galaxy Tab 3 that plugs into U+'s services, including TV channels, music, video, e-book and educational software stores, oh, and it'll double as a GPS while on the go. Leave the unit at home, however, and it'll also guard the property, texting you if it senses an unwanted intruder -- and is, according to the company's Kang Hyun-ku, the first step in LG's new connected home platform. That said, given that it's nearly a nailed-on certainty that we're going to see LG's return to the tablet game in short order, we don't expect the amusingly-titled slate to remain the favorite son in a couple of months Galaxy Tab 3 gets rebranded as 'Homeboy' for launch on LG's Korean mobile network.

iWork for iCloud beta now open to anyone with an Apple ID First it was available to developers, then a select few who received invitations, and now the beta of iWork for iCloud is available for all. Apple's made no official announcement, but point your browser to icloud.com iWork for iCloud beta now open to anyone with an Apple ID, punch in your Apple ID details, and there you have it: Pages, Numbers and Keynote. Seeming as you normally have to pay for the iWork software suite, this could be a time-sensitive public beta that'll be pulled once you've found all the bugs (this editor has full access without owning any of the iWork programs). So, you might as well have a go at being productive in the cloud before it's too late iWork for iCloud beta now open to anyone with an Apple ID.
